Rangers FC center-back Emmanuel Fernandez has revealed the three legendary Nigerian footballers who shaped his career aspirations.
The rising star, who recently earned a call-up for Nigeria’s AFCON qualifiers, cited iconic midfield maestro Jay-Jay Okocha, rock-solid defender Joseph Yobo, and current national team leader William Troost-Ekong as his primary inspirations.
In an exclusive interview before the crucial qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau, Fernandez reflected on Okocha’s mesmerizing footwork: “His creativity and flair embodied the dream every young Nigerian footballer chases.
