Harrysong

Renowned Nigerian artist Harrison Tare Okiri, widely recognized as Harrysong, has called on President Bola Tinubu to address rising insecurity by improving the compensation of security personnel nationwide.

The singer voiced his concerns in an Instagram post, highlighting the inadequate salaries and benefits received by members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, and other security agencies.

He emphasized that those risking their lives to safeguard the nation deserve better remuneration.

Harrysong argued that enhancing their financial incentives would boost morale and improve the effectiveness of security operations.

He appealed to the government to ensure frontline workers are adequately rewarded for their sacrifices.

His post read: “TO MR PRESIDENT. IF YOU GENUINELY WANT TO END INSECURITY IN NIGERIA 🇳🇬? Prioritize raising the salaries and allowances of our armed forces. The current pay for the army, navy, air force, and police is embarrassingly low—make this job worth the ultimate sacrifice. Increase their wages, please!”
