The ICIR recently reported that President Tinubu’s medical team was allegedly making arrangements to fly him overseas for emergency medical treatment.

The presidency has responded to an ICIR report suggesting that President Bola Tinubu is seriously ill and in poor health.

According to the Presidency, Tinubu is in good health.

In a recent Sunday article, The ICIR claimed that plans were being made to transport President Tinubu abroad for urgent medical care.

Citing anonymous sources in Aso Rock, the report stated that Tinubu had been confined to his bed for several days, leading to his absence from important government engagements.

The publication further alleged that all of the president’s scheduled events, including the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, had been canceled at the start of the week.

However, Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, denied rumors of the president’s poor health when speaking with Daily Trust on Sunday night.

When questioned about the president’s lack of public appearances, Onanuga explained that Tinubu could opt to work remotely.

“The president is fine—there’s nothing wrong with him. He has the freedom to work from home or any location of his choice,” Onanuga told Daily Trust.

“I assure you, the president’s health is not in question,” the presidential spokesperson added.
