Portable

Nigerian music sensation Portable has boldly declared that his impact on uplifting others in the entertainment scene surpasses that of industry heavyweights like Olamide, Don Jazzy, Wizkid, and Davido.

In a candid video message, the “Zazu” hitmaker emphasized that his generosity extends beyond fellow artists to include underprivileged individuals, setting him apart from his peers.

He criticized what he described as the self-centered attitudes of some celebrities, highlighting his own hands-on approach in connecting with fans and upcoming talents on social platforms.

Portable stated, “Most Nigerian stars ignore fans who promote their work, but I amplify every positive post about me—whether it’s a dance video or shoutout.

“Big artists often demand money for collaborations with newcomers, but I offer support freely. Honestly, I’ve done more to uplift struggling artists than Don Jazzy, Olamide, Wizkid, or Davido combined.

“Real help means taking someone off the streets, feeding them, clothing them, and funding their first studio session. Anything less is transactional. Many so-called ‘helpers’ in the industry just exploit talent.

“When artists outgrow these arrangements and seek independence, they’re branded as ungrateful. But if you only saw them as a business venture, who’s really at fault?”
