Renowned Nollywood star Jerry Williams has been apprehended by operatives of the Delta State Police Command.

According to fellow actor Stanley Ontop, Williams was reportedly detained through the collaboration of influencer Nwafor Franklin, popularly known as Izutech, and law enforcement officials.

The actor was allegedly taken into custody at his Delta State home early Monday morning by police officers from the Edo State Command.

Stanley raised alarm over Jerry’s well-being, alleging that Izutech had withheld N2.5 million intended for movie producers seeking to cast Jerry in their films.

He wrote in a social media post: “Izutech stormed Jerry Williams’ residence before dawn today, July 21, 2025, forcibly taking him to Benin with police involvement.

“The public should be aware—Jerry is currently under Izu’s custody. Any harm that comes to him is on Izu’s hands.”

The incident follows Jerry’s recent return to acting after undergoing rehabilitation for substance abuse.
