Reality TV sensation Josephina Otabor, widely recognized as Phyna, stirred social media buzz when she was reportedly barred from entering the birthday celebration of Big Brother Naija 2025 champion, Imisi.

The incident unfolded on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, as Phyna arrived at the event venue, only to be stopped by security personnel.

A visibly frustrated Phyna later shared her ordeal in a video, expressing dismay over the treatment she received. She claimed she was restricted from entering the party because she was livestreaming the event for her online followers.

According to Phyna, organizers and security staff insisted she stop filming before being granted access, a directive she refused to comply with.

The BBNaija star argued that the restriction was unjust, emphasizing that her only motive was to celebrate Imisi without causing any disturbances.

She questioned why the rule appeared to target her exclusively, pointing out potential favoritism toward more prominent influencers who might have been permitted to film without issue.

Security at the venue, however, stood firm on their no-recording policy, stating that phones and cameras were prohibited inside the party hall.

Phyna remained unconvinced, alleging inconsistency in enforcement as she singled out several high-profile social media personalities who, in her view, would not face similar restrictions.

In her heated remarks, she vented: “Would you tell Speed or Peller to drop their cameras if they showed up? You don’t even know who Phyna is?

“Y’all are embarrassing me for nothing. Why single me out? They asked me to stop filming before entering—since when did this rule apply to only me?”
