Reality TV star and Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has initiated a N500 million legal action against comedian Carter Efe following his public admission of an alleged intimate relationship with her.
The controversy erupted after Davido’s personal streamer, Davrel, claimed Carter Efe had disparaged Phyna, labeling her as “useless.” Phyna retaliated by exposing Davrel’s alleged unpaid debt, sparking a heated online feud.
The situation intensified when Davrel accused Phyna of propositioning him sexually and allegedly requesting an introduction to his father—a claim she vehemently denied.
In a viral video confrontation, Carter Efe openly confirmed having slept with Phyna, stating he possessed evidence to substantiate his claim. Phyna responded by threatening legal repercussions against both Carter and Davrel.
Addressing her supporters in a live session, Phyna revealed that legal notices had already been dispatched to the two individuals. She admitted to compromising her self-respect in past interactions but vowed to no longer tolerate defamatory remarks, particularly those of a sexual nature.
Reflecting on her streaming career, Phyna acknowledged adopting a lenient approach similar to her peers, only to face repeated disrespect. She declared an end to her previous accommodating demeanor, opting instead for legal recourse moving forward.
She emphasized that while she avoids unnecessary conflicts, her reactions often shift blame onto her unfairly. Confirming the lawsuit, she disclosed that Carter Efe and Davrel had been formally notified via email and WhatsApp.
In a separate video, Carter Efe confirmed receiving the N500 million lawsuit, marking a dramatic escalation in the public dispute.
