Popular reality TV personality Phyna has publicly called out the Dangote Group for allegedly failing to fulfill their promise to facilitate her sister’s overseas medical treatment.
The ex-BBNaija contestant aired her grievances in a social media outburst, sharing screenshots of her communications with the conglomerate.
This controversy stems from an earlier incident where a Dangote truck severely injured Phyna’s sister, leaving her in critical condition.
Phyna revealed that while she maintained contact with Dangote representatives and supplied medical updates, the company allegedly backtracked on their commitment to arrange international treatment.
In her impassioned Instagram post, she stated:
“After reviewing the medical reports together, they acknowledged the urgency but then suggested consulting the same local medical team that couldn’t provide adequate care. This completely violated our original agreement that Lagos was just a stopgap before international treatment.
Why demand proof from the hospital that they can’t handle her case? If this were Aliko Dangote’s relative, would they be having this debate? My sister has fluid in her lungs, crushed reproductive organs, and a ruptured bladder – we’re fighting for her life daily. Yet they’re playing bureaucratic games instead of honoring their word.”
Phyna expressed disbelief at the sudden shift in the company’s stance, noting that all travel documents had been prepared under their mutual understanding. She emphasized her refusal to gamble with her sister’s survival, vowing to escalate her demands for proper care.
