Nigerian superstar Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P, has vehemently dismissed claims linking women to the ongoing feud within the Okoye dynasty. The former P-Square member insists the rift originates from deep-seated issues of betrayal, financial mismanagement, and broken trust spanning decades.

Taking to his X account, the artist shut down circulating rumors, stating, “Stop dragging innocent women into this narrative! For years, no woman has ever influenced anyone to embezzle from our joint ventures. This falsehood needs to end.”

Mr. P traced the conflict’s roots back to their early career days, clarifying, “These issues began when we were young, unmarried artists. The betrayal started long before any romantic relationships entered the picture. I stand by my words.”

The music icon opened up about the emotional toll, sharing, “The pain runs deep. While it’s my personal loss, constantly revisiting two decades of familial betrayal serves no purpose. My mental health comes first.”

Emphasizing the importance of self-preservation, he added, “Even if my late parents endorsed this treachery, I’d still choose to walk away. No relationship—blood or otherwise—is worth sacrificing my peace.”

The situation remains contentious, with Mr. P revealing, “After uncovering 20+ years of deception, suddenly we’re family? The courts will decide—we’re still deep in litigation.”

This latest outburst sheds new light on the protracted Okoye family drama involving Peter, his twin Paul, and elder brother Jude. The trio’s turbulent history features multiple fallouts and reconciliations since P-Square’s initial 2017 breakup over creative and financial control.

Though the duo briefly reunited in 2021, disputes over music rights and financial transparency quickly dissolved the partnership. The conflict has now escalated legally, with Jude facing EFCC charges for alleged royalty diversion—claims he strongly denies.

Recent court filings reveal Mr. P’s involvement as co-signatory to Northside Entertainment Limited’s accounts, adding another layer to the complex legal battle. The case continues at Lagos High Court, with proceedings adjourned until May 2026.
