Dr. Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has issued a stern warning about predatory loan applications.

He cautioned Nigerians to steer clear of digital lending platforms, labeling them as “demonic traps designed to enslave people in perpetual debt.”

Addressing his congregation in Abuja, Enenche expressed deep concern over the increasing reports of mental anguish and tragic suicides tied to these loan services.

“These apps lure desperate individuals with false hopes of instant financial solutions,” he emphasized.

“Instead of relief, victims face relentless bullying, public shaming, and psychological torment that drives some to take their own lives.”

The spiritual leader detailed how borrowers face relentless harassment through threatening messages and automated calls after accepting these loans.

“Some platforms resort to extreme tactics—posting fabricated death notices and damaging personal information online to humiliate defaulters,” he revealed.

Enenche urged believers to reject the illusion of quick cash, asserting that these schemes carry severe spiritual consequences.

“These operations form unholy alliances with financial bondage, and faithful Christians must avoid them completely,” he proclaimed.

This warning follows growing national outrage against Nigeria’s digital lenders, who stand accused of violating consumer rights and employing ruthless debt collection strategies.
