Award-winning actors and filmmakers such as Kiekie, Broda Shaggi, Papi Luwe, Sola Kosoko, and Gabriel Afolayan graced the occasion with their presence.

 Kunle Afolayan

Renowned Nollywood icon Kunle Afolayan has firmly denied any rumors of a feud between himself and fellow actor Ibrahim Chatta.

Afolayan clarified the speculation on Wednesday, January 28, during the exclusive screening of *Anikulapo: ‘The Ghoul Awakens’* at Igbojaye, Oyo State, where Chatta was also in attendance.

Top industry figures including Kiekie, Broda Shaggi, Papi Luwe, Sola Kosoko, and Gabriel Afolayan joined the event, adding glamour to the evening.

During his speech, Afolayan emphasized that their focus is on cultural preservation rather than rivalry, stating that both he and Chatta share a common goal of honoring their heritage.

He remarked, “There’s no rivalry whatsoever. We are united in our mission to celebrate our ancestry, our lineage, and our roots. Afri Chatta in Oyo stands as a testament to our shared vision—many iconic films, including *Ageshinkole*, were shot there. We aren’t competitors; we’re collaborators. This marks his first visit here, despite my past invitations—an oversight on my part.”

Afolayan also explained his cautious approach toward Nigerian cinema projects, noting, “I’d rather make meaningful art than chase box-office numbers that don’t translate to real value.”
