Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has suggested that Victor Osimhen might miss Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa on Tuesday due to an injury.
Buruk revealed that Osimhen is suffering from ankle pain after getting hurt during Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Rwanda on Saturday. He expressed frustration over the setback, calling it unfortunate for the Turkish league leaders.
“We hope to bring Osimhen back as soon as possible for a medical assessment,” Buruk told Now Spor, as reported by habersarikirmizi.
“We’ll know more tomorrow, but he’s in pain and unlikely to play against South Africa in two days.
“We’ll monitor his condition. This situation is disappointing for us,” he added.
Osimhen was substituted in the first half of the match, with Panathinaikos’ new signing Cyriel Dessers taking his place.
