Victor Osimhen

Nigerian football sensation Victor Osimhen has allegedly threatened to quit the Super Eagles and return to his club in Turkey after a heated clash during their AFCON qualifier.

Reports from Arise News reveal that Osimhen erupted in frustration following an on-field dispute with teammate Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s dominant 4-0 victory over Mozambique.

Despite netting two goals earlier in the match, the Napoli forward was visibly furious when Lookman opted against passing to him in the 64th minute, sparking a fiery outburst.

Osimhen immediately signaled to the bench, demanding a substitution, and was subsequently replaced by Moses Simon.

After the final whistle, the 27-year-old stormed out of the stadium, discarding his accreditation card and declaring he was “finished” with national team duties before attempting to arrange a flight back to Turkey.

NFF officials intervened swiftly, calming the situation and persuading the star striker to reconsider his decision.
