Osas Ighodaro

In a candid revelation, Nollywood’s Osas Ighodaro opened up about her startling first on-screen kiss experience in the Nigerian film industry.

The actress shared this personal story during a recent appearance on ‘The Culture League’ podcast.

Osas, who moved back to Nigeria from the U.S. in 2012, disclosed that an actor unexpectedly took their on-screen kiss too far during one of her early Nollywood roles.

She described the incident as her initial industry shock, emphasizing that intimate scenes like this should involve clear actor discussions beforehand.

Osas explained, “That first Nollywood kiss threw me off completely. I was prepared for a professional, scripted moment—not what actually happened.”

“There’s an unspoken standard—tongue shouldn’t be involved unless explicitly discussed. That basic professional courtesy wasn’t extended to me in this situation, and it was an important learning experience.”

In related entertainment news, veteran Yoruba actress Bolaji Aleem courageously shared her childhood trauma of sexual abuse from neighborhood men.

Growing up with her grandmother, the actress revealed she stayed silent about the abuse, mistakenly believing it was normal behavior.

Speaking to FeelRightNews TV, Aleem recounted how men in her community would lure her into their homes when she was just nine or ten years old.

Though these incidents occurred multiple times, fear and confusion prevented her from confiding in her grandmother.

As she matured, Aleem recognized the predatory behavior and successfully avoided similar situations, though the memories remained.
