The outgoing council chairman, Kolade Alabi David, marked the conclusion of his term on Friday, July 25, by unveiling the rebranding initiatives while inaugurating several community projects.

Charly Boy

In a landmark decision, the Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State has rechristened the iconic Charly Boy Bus Stop as Olamide Baddo Bus Stop, paying tribute to the celebrated hip-hop artist Olamide Adedeji, famously known as Baddo.

Council Chairman Kolade Alabi David, whose tenure expired on July 25, disclosed the renaming project during the grand opening of newly completed developments.

He explained that the renaming of the bus stop and six other locations was a deliberate move to honor local icons who have elevated the community’s reputation through their extraordinary talent and global influence.
