Nollywood legend Yinka Quadri has emotionally recounted the final moments he shared with his late colleague, Ogogo, just hours before the actor succumbed to stage 4 cancer on Sunday.
The departed actor was laid to rest in his ancestral home of Ilaro, Ogun State, the following day.
Breaking his silence since the tragic event, Quadri nostalgically described Ogogo as his “celestial twin,” emphasizing their deep spiritual connection despite different biological mothers.
During their last hospital visit, the ailing Ogogo comforted a weeping Quadri, assuring him no harm would befall them.
Quadri recounted responding with a heartfelt “Amen” to his friend’s reassurance.
The dying actor then requested water, which Quadri dutifully fetched from the bedside table.
After drinking, Ogogo notably mentioned he’d kept the water down despite having eaten earlier that morning.
He asked medical personnel to verify he’d indeed eaten, which they confirmed, prompting Quadri to feel a surge of divine hope.
Hospital staff encouraged them to maintain their spiritual devotion during this trying time.
Quadri memorialized these poignant final moments in an emotional social media tribute, vowing to forever cherish their last hospital encounter.
