Nollywood’s dynamic star, Ibrahim Chatta, has become the talk of social media following revelations about his lucrative movie fees.
Esteemed actor Mustapha Bakare Otolo unveiled the jaw-dropping figures in a viral interview circulating online.
Otolo shared these insights while explaining the financial hurdles veteran actors face in producing cinematic films.
He revealed that while seasoned actors typically earn ₦250,000 per role, Chatta now commands an astonishing ₦5 million per project.
“When Ibrahim Chatta steps on set, he’s already collected ₦5 million. That’s his current asking price – making him the industry’s top earner. He can land 20 roles monthly. I recently cast him in my Ogbomoso-shot film ‘Jigi.'”
“You can’t equate today’s young stars like Chatta with veterans like us earning ₦250,000-₦300,000 for one or two monthly gigs. That disparity explains why producing cinema-quality films proves challenging for established actors,” he added.
