Nollywood’s beloved comic actor Wale Akorede, famed for his role as Okunnu, has publicly expressed his grievances against Olasco Films for unpaid work dating back several years.

The veteran opened up during a trending interview with media personality Olugbenga Oropo Valentine, where he disclosed that he still harbors resentment toward Olasco for failing to compensate him for a movie project.

Recounting the ordeal, Okunnu emphasized that he received no payment—not even basic production expenses—for a film where he served as producer, director, and lead actor.

“I once produced ‘Aare’ for Olasco Films and got nothing in return. Not a single naira—not even the cost of drinking water. I don’t know if payment will come on judgment day, but as it stands, I haven’t forgiven Olasco,” he declared.

“Mr. Akeem Balogun Olasco, I don’t know what the future holds, but for now, my grievances remain unresolved.

“I wrote ‘Aare,’ directed it, and starred in both parts without receiving any compensation. I can’t claim otherwise—I didn’t benefit a kobo from my labor,” he stated firmly.
