Omo Local

Victoria Akanke Ajibola, the beloved Nollywood star popularly called Omo Local, recently opened up about a devastating betrayal that pushed her to the brink. She confessed to nearly ending her life after learning her husband had fathered a child with her closest friend.

During an emotional interview on Oyinmomo TV, the actress shared that while she was five months pregnant, her best friend was three months along with her husband’s baby, leaving her shattered by the betrayal.

Breaking her silence on the reason behind her divorce, Omo Local revealed the intense trauma that drove her to attempt suicide. “The pain was unbearable—I felt so humiliated that I drank poison,” she admitted, recalling the darkest moment of her life.

When questioned about her former friend’s whereabouts, she responded, “I have no idea where she is now. Maybe she stayed with my ex—they ended up having three kids after I left. I’ve moved on.”

In related entertainment news, veteran Nollywood actor Olaniyi Afonja, aka Sanyeri, delved into his educational journey and early struggles in the film industry during an interview on Behind The Fame.

The comedian reflected on his childhood perception of schooling, admitting he once saw it as an obligation rather than an opportunity. “Back then, I thought education was just to please parents—it felt like punishment,” he revealed.

Now older and wiser, Sanyeri expressed regret for not prioritizing his studies earlier and shared that he’s actively pursuing further education. “Learning never stops—whether you’re 20 or 50, you can always go back and improve yourself,” he emphasized, inspiring others to embrace lifelong learning.
