Renowned Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has opened up about her aversion to long-distance road travel within Nigeria, admitting she avoids trips exceeding the Lagos-Ibadan stretch.
During a candid chat with VJ Adams, the screen icon shared that while she enjoys road adventures overseas, Nigeria’s transportation infrastructure and safety concerns make her opt for flights or boats locally.
She confessed this preference has reshaped her social engagements, often declining invitations requiring extended road travel.
“I’m all for air and water travel—road trips just don’t appeal to me here. Abroad? Absolutely. But in Nigeria? Hard pass,” she revealed.
Bello continued, “Unless it’s someone incredibly special, I won’t budge.
“My friends know the drill—they joke, ‘Don’t even ask her, she won’t show.’ Anything beyond Ibadan? Forget it.”
“Road trips? Not my thing… If it’s past Ibadan, I’m out.”
