Renowned media figure Noble Igwe expressed deep gratitude to God after his family narrowly escaped a terrifying fire incident at their residence.
The alarming event unfolded on Sunday afternoon at approximately 12:30 pm when an air conditioning unit in the kitchen suddenly ignited, just as the family was preparing for a brunch outing.
Reflecting on the harrowing experience, Igwe extended heartfelt appreciation to everyone who assisted in averting a potential disaster.
Sharing his emotions on Instagram, he posted: “Today, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for divine protection. At 12:30 pm, our kitchen AC unexpectedly burst into flames as we were getting ready for brunch. Our alert domestic staff notified us, and Chioma immediately evacuated with the kids, even remembering to grab the car keys in the chaos (Chairman, car indeed).
“This incident truly highlighted the importance of community. Our neighbors—drivers, security personnel, and homeowners—rushed to our aid, containing the blaze to just the kitchen area.
“Most impressively, the Lagos State Fire Service arrived promptly with state-of-the-art equipment. While we often criticize authorities, today I must commend the Lagos State Government and Governor Babajide for their swift response.
“We’re eternally grateful for God’s mercy and protection. Join me in giving thanks for this miraculous escape.”
