Senator Ned Nwoko, the spouse of actress Regina Daniels, has dismissed claims that she possesses any damaging information about him.

The Delta North lawmaker made this clear in a statement released by his Communications and Technical Action Team on Monday, refuting ongoing smear campaigns.

He accused detractors of leveraging the situation to tarnish his reputation internationally, calling their allegations baseless and politically motivated.

Nwoko stated, “The narrative about land grabbing in my hometown is entirely false. I legally acquired the land for the University of Sports, an institution that now benefits the community.

“It’s disheartening how progress-makers are often undermined by their own, a stark contrast to other societies where visionaries are celebrated.”

“Those exploiting Regina’s circumstances to settle personal vendettas will answer for their defamatory claims in due course.”

The senator emphasized that Regina’s history of substance abuse is well-documented, with medical and educational records as evidence.

“Her public admissions about drug use and bipolar disorder are validated by testimonies from her former peers,” he asserted. “If there were any hidden truths, they would have surfaced by now. These fabricated stories are criminal defamation, and the perpetrators will be held accountable.”

Addressing speculation about their marriage, Nwoko clarified that Regina was 19, not 17, at the time of their union.

“Her family was fully involved in our traditional marriage, which aligns with our customs,” he explained. “I treated her with utmost respect and provided for her needs, a fact known to those close to us.”

“This sudden backlash is a calculated attack by political adversaries, aiming to derail my service as a senator,” Nwoko concluded. “Regina is being weaponized, but the truth will prevail.”
