Nkubi

Nigerian actor Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, widely recognized by his stage name Nkubi, revealed that he pursued acting after facing repeated job rejections due to his stature.

The entertainer shared this during a candid discussion about the challenges of living as a little person on the One On One podcast, where he appeared alongside his wife.

He recalled that the harsh reality of discrimination struck him after secondary school, when job opportunities eluded him despite his qualifications.

“Growing up, you don’t fully grasp your differences, but they become painfully clear when society treats you differently.

“It hit me hardest when I couldn’t secure even basic jobs after school,” he explained.

Nkubi lamented that his young daughter now endures similar online bullying, with internet trolls cruelly mocking her father’s condition.

The couple acknowledged they were prepared for potential genetic outcomes, having educated themselves before starting a family.

His wife emotionally recalled how a physician once suggested conceiving with another man to avoid dwarfism, advice she firmly rejected.
