Nollywood star Nkechi Blessing has fired back after receiving backlash for opting to keep her romantic life private.
The actress, who is also a mother, recently shared a cheerful video of herself dancing, highlighting the happiness she’s found since stepping away from public relationship posts.
Her caption read, “Life has been sweeter since I stopped flaunting my man. Should’ve done this sooner, but better late than never. Hey Bae, sending you love in chunks!”
Despite her upbeat tone, several followers criticized her decision.
Nkechi clapped back, noting how women often harshly judge each other.
She called out married women who still act single, suggesting their frustration leads to unwarranted attacks on those happily in love.
Unapologetically, she doubled down on her stance, emphasizing that she’s relishing her private romance.
She wrote: “It’s sad how women drag each other down. The bitterness in my comments says it all.
“Some of you in marriages still live like you’re single—no wonder you’re bitter toward a woman glowing in love. Stay mad. Kisses from my happy zone!”
Earlier, during the festive season, Nkechi had hinted at her newfound love by posting matching couple photos, admitting she’d anticipated ending the year solo but instead discovered joy.
This followed her split from musician Xxssive (Eseoghene Obire) in March, which she described as peaceful.
