Nollywood star Nkechi Blessing Sunday has openly called out fellow actors for neglecting their promotional duties after receiving substantial payments for movie roles.
Taking to Instagram, the outspoken actress vented her frustration toward colleagues who demand high fees but mysteriously disappear when it’s time to support the film’s release.
Nkechi Blessing emphasized that while she fully supports actors charging premium rates for their craft, she draws the line at their refusal to market the projects post-release.
She stated that such unprofessional conduct could spark conflicts between collaborators, warning that she wouldn’t hesitate to take legal action if necessary.
Asserting her stance, Nkechi stressed that all actors benefiting from her productions must actively promote their work, as neglecting this obligation is inexcusable.
Her fiery post read: “Charge your worth—ask for 3 million naira if that’s your price, but here’s where we clash… When the movie drops, and you act like you donated your talent for free? Even refusing to share the project on your page? That’s when we’ll end up at the police station. So think twice before collecting my money.”
“I don’t throw cash around. If you won’t promote a film you were paid top naira for, then stay far away. Seriously, who do you think you are?”
