Nigerian athlete Ezekiel Nathaniel has claimed his maiden victory in a Diamond League competition.

 

He achieved this milestone by dominating the men’s 400m hurdles event at the Lausanne meet yesterday.

 

Nathaniel crossed the finish line with a time of 48.08 seconds, surging ahead after the final hurdle to seal his win.

 

Trevor Bassitt of the United States secured second place in 48.14 seconds, followed by Slovenia’s Ian Matic Gucek in third with 49.23 seconds.

 

This victory represents a significant turning point for Nathaniel, who is quickly establishing himself as a rising star in global athletics.
