Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has backed newcomer Yira Sor Collins to win over Nigerian supporters with his dynamic playing style.
The rapid attacker, fresh from his first-ever national team invitation, is set to feature in Nigeria’s upcoming fixtures during the Turkish-hosted tournament.
At 25, the Belgian-based Genk forward could earn his international debut this Friday when Nigeria faces World Cup-bound Iran in their tournament opener.
Despite registering modest stats this season—four goals and one assist in 24 outings—Chelle insists Collins’ flair and creativity will captivate Nigerian fans.

The Super Eagles will clash with Iran on Friday before squaring off against Jordan next Tuesday. Both opponents are fine-tuning their squads ahead of the 2026 World Cup—a tournament Nigeria missed out on qualifying for.
