As previously reported by Amonpoint News, Ontop was apprehended on Tuesday and held at the Delta State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) headquarters in Asaba.
The arrest stemmed from a defamation complaint filed by fellow entertainer Queeneth Hilbeth, sparking widespread outrage across social media platforms.
Following mounting pressure from fans and celebrities demanding justice, authorities released the filmmaker on Wednesday evening after approximately 24 hours in custody.
Celebrating his freedom in an Instagram video, Stanley enthusiastically declared: “We’re free! Freedom at last!”
