Nigerian-Swiss footballer Noah Okafor has completed a transfer to Leeds United in the English Premier League.

The £18 million signing arrives from Italian giants AC Milan, where he spent the previous season on loan at Napoli.

Okafor, 25, has committed to a four-year deal with the Yorkshire club, marking their ninth major signing following promotion to England’s top division.

The versatile attacker expressed his enthusiasm about the move: “Playing Premier League football was always my childhood dream. This opportunity excites me tremendously,” he revealed.

“My playing style matches the physicality of English football perfectly. I’m told about the incredible intensity of this league – it’s exactly where I want to test myself,” Okafor added.

His transfer contributes to the Premier League’s record-breaking summer expenditure, exceeding last year’s £2.36 billion spending mark.

Beginning at Basel, Okafor developed at RB Salzburg before his 2023 switch to AC Milan, where he made 54 appearances mostly from the bench.

During his loan spell at Napoli, the forward typically entered matches as a second-half substitute, registering seven career goals for Milan.

Statistical analysis reveals Okafor’s adaptability, dividing his playing time between left-wing positions (47%) and central striking roles (41%), frequently operating in advanced wide areas.
