Acclaimed Nollywood star Kehinde Bankole has issued a passionate plea to Nigeria’s Federal Government and security agencies, demanding decisive action to curb the escalating kidnapping crisis gripping the nation.

In a recent social media statement, Bankole voiced the frustration of countless Nigerians, emphasizing that empty condolences and promises are no longer enough. She stressed the urgent need for tangible results to protect lives and restore peace.

The award-winning actress condemned the alarming trend of children fleeing for survival, calling it an unforgivable failure in a modern society like Nigeria’s. She dismissed conspiracy theories about political sabotage as distractions, urging authorities to treat the crisis with the seriousness it demands.

Bankole specifically challenged Nigeria’s intelligence and defense sectors—including the NIA, DSS, and Ministry of Defence—to escalate security operations and dismantle criminal networks without delay.

Her outcry follows the tragic abduction of over 25 students and educators in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, where a mathematics teacher was killed in captivity. The incident has intensified national outrage, prompting more celebrities to demand action.

Bankole’s stance aligns with fellow actress Opeyemi Aiyeola’s recent appeal for influential leaders and monarchs to pressure the government into prioritizing security reforms.
