Renowned Nollywood star Angela Okorie has allegedly been detained by Nigeria Police Cybercrime Unit operatives over a suspected cybercrime incident linked to her fellow actress, Mercy Johnson.
Filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi broke the news via his Instagram account.
Sources indicate that the actress was apprehended at her Lagos residence.
After being taken into custody, she was held at Yaba Panti overnight before boarding an early morning flight to Abuja for further legal proceedings.
Authorities reportedly arranged her transfer to the Federal Capital Territory, where she is set to face charges related to the ongoing dispute involving Mercy Johnson.
This incident follows years of public feuding between the two actresses.
Angela Okorie and Mercy Johnson have engaged in multiple online confrontations, exchanging heated accusations across social media.
Angela has previously acknowledged her emotional outbursts, attributing them to personal turmoil and later expressing remorse for her statements.
