Amidst his ongoing legal troubles, Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has become a father again as his first wife, Omobewaji, gave birth while he remains behind bars.

Portable faced arraignment on January 12, 2026, at a Federal High Court in Ogun State, where he was slapped with nine criminal charges, including assault on a law enforcement officer.

The court refused bail due to the prosecution’s insistence that the injured officer’s testimony was critical, necessitating his presence. Consequently, the “Zazu” crooner was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing on January 19, 2026.

Despite his confinement, Portable’s household celebrated a new arrival as Omobewaji welcomed their latest addition, a development relayed to the incarcerated singer by close associates.
