Nigerian singer Harrysong, born Harrison Okiri, has opened up about how his feud with former label head Kcee hindered his career, stifling his artistic expression.
The rift between Harrysong and Five Star Music erupted in 2017 when the artist accused the label of financial misconduct, unfair dealings, and limiting his creative input.
Harrysong further alleged that he penned multiple chart-topping tracks for Kcee during his tenure, sparking heated exchanges between the two and intensifying their public dispute.
In a candid interview with Jusmen 105.7 FM, Harrysong admitted that the conflict often diverted his focus from music production.
“The feud with Kcee constantly threw me off balance—it disrupted my creative flow. Instead of recording, I’d obsess over crafting responses and fueling the fight. It took a toll on my artistry,” he confessed.
Harrysong confirmed that he has since reconciled with Kcee and Five Star Music.
He also shared that he’s developed resilience against controversies, ensuring they no longer interfere with his musical pursuits.
