Nigerian TikTok personality Ishaq Abubakar Major has been taken into custody by law enforcement after making explosive claims against a high-profile senator.

Authorities detained Major following his social media posts accusing Senator Shehu Buba, who represents Bauchi South, of collaborating with bandits operating in the region.

Sources indicate that officers from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) apprehended the content creator at the Maraba-Nyanya axis in Abuja.

The outspoken social media figure remains in detention at FCID headquarters, with no official police statement released regarding the circumstances of his arrest.

Major’s detention comes after weeks of controversial TikTok broadcasts where he presented damaging allegations against the senator, including claims of inappropriate associations with criminal elements.

In one widely shared video, Major challenged the senator’s integrity, stating: “Media investigations have exposed Senator Buba’s alleged involvement with bandit groups. Instead of refuting these serious claims legally, he remains silent to protect his political ambitions.”

“As an influential lawmaker with resources, he would have sued for defamation if these reports were false. His inaction speaks volumes about their credibility and could jeopardize his gubernatorial aspirations in Bauchi State.”

“The evidence against him remains unchallenged because any legal confrontation would expose the truth that could end his political career,” Major declared in the contentious clip.
