Renowned Nollywood icon Kate Henshaw has taken a bold stance, calling out Nigeria’s legal system for its apparent bias against women.

In a fiery revelation, the award-winning actress declared that the country’s laws systematically disadvantage women.

She voiced these powerful concerns during a candid interview on Arise TV, sparking widespread debate.

Henshaw didn’t hold back, stating that Nigerian society conditions men to view women as inferior.

The actress specifically targeted the “Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act”, asserting that it disproportionately shields men while failing women.

“Yes, man was created first—but woman was crafted from his side, not his feet,” Henshaw passionately argued.

“We were meant to stand together as equals, to thrive side by side. Yet, Nigerian men often treat women as lesser beings. Even our laws betray us—how is it legal for a man to ‘chastise’ his wife? This injustice must end,” she demanded.
