Nigeria’s football stars Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, and Chidozie Awaziem were spotted enjoying Lagos nightlife shortly after helping the Super Eagles secure third place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Social media influencer Babatunde Akinpelu, widely known as Tunde Perry, posted a lively clip featuring the players celebrating with him during his birthday festivities at a high-end nightclub.
Perry showcased Osimhen in the video with his signature catchphrase, “Otorpinpin paaaaaa DATieeeee Mo,” highlighting the squad’s camaraderie. The clip also captured Ndidi and Awaziem in the background as partygoers cheered.
Nigeria clinched bronze following a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Egypt (4-2) after a goalless draw in regulation time. The Super Eagles’ triumph marked their ninth third-place finish in AFCON history.
The Pharaohs and Nigeria missed out on the final after suffering narrow defeats—Egypt falling 1-0 to Senegal and Nigeria losing via penalties to tournament hosts Morocco.
Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali emerged as Nigeria’s hero, denying Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush from the spot while Akor Adams, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, and Ademola Lookman confidently converted their penalties.
Osimhen, who sat out the third-place match, had already made waves earlier by leaving Stade Mohammed V with his luggage immediately after the team’s locker room celebrations.
During the tournament, Osimhen netted four goals and provided an assist across five appearances. Ndidi impressed throughout, missing only one group-stage match, while Awaziem featured as a substitute in four games.
Several Super Eagles stars, including Sevilla’s Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke, have since departed Morocco, while others remain to attend the medal ceremony during the grand finale.
Hosts Morocco will face off against Senegal in the decisive clash at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 PM.
