Burna Boy

Nigerian comedian I Go Save has condemned the online celebration of Burna Boy’s canceled U.S. tour dates. The controversy stems from the Grammy-winning artist’s recent altercation with a fan who appeared disinterested during his performance.

During a recent concert, Burna Boy noticed an audience member dozing off mid-performance. Taking offense, he abruptly halted his show and demanded security escort the woman out of the venue, sparking widespread debate.

Following the incident, some Nigerian-Americans launched a campaign urging fans to boycott Burna Boy’s shows. The backlash led to unexpectedly low ticket sales, resulting in the cancellation of scheduled performances in Chicago and Minneapolis.

Reacting to the schadenfreude displayed by netizens, I Go Save slammed the celebratory posts flooding social media, likening such behavior to malicious spiritual practices.
