Renowned Fuji artist Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, famously called K1 De Ultimate, faces a six-month travel ban after being blacklisted by aviation regulators.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) imposed the punitive measure in response to claims of misconduct by the musician at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

Confirming the sanction to TVC NEWS, NCAA’s Director of Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, revealed that K1 has been barred from boarding any domestic flights for half a year.

This disciplinary action stems from accusations of disruptive conduct, allegedly interfering with standard airport operations during boarding.

In addition, pilots connected to the event have had their licenses frozen while a thorough inquiry unfolds, underscoring NCAA’s strict enforcement of aviation protocols.

The regulatory body reaffirmed its stance on maintaining order, stressing that no individual, regardless of influence, is above aviation regulations.

Dispelling rumors of preferential treatment, Achimugu clarified that celebrity status or political connections provide no exemptions from accountability.

He stated firmly: “Being a public figure or close to the Presidency does not grant immunity from the law. Even President Tinubu upholds legal standards and expects full compliance with aviation policies.”

This declaration reinforces NCAA’s unwavering position against passenger misconduct and operational negligence, pledging fair enforcement for all travelers and professionals.

The authority vowed to safeguard Nigeria’s airspace with transparent, impartial regulations, ensuring safety remains uncompromised.
