Nigerian music sensation Johnny Drille has responded to criticism after he and singer Nonso Amadi were branded “low-level men” for publicly embracing romantic expression.
The controversy erupted when an X user criticized the artists for crafting lyrics that encourage men to “adore” and “cherish” women excessively.
The post read: “I’ve always had an issue with Nonso Amadi, Johnny Drille, and their style of songwriting.
“Pure low-level behavior.”
The user further stated: “It’s deliberate conditioning. Classic RnB, Westlife, now these guys with their overly sentimental verses.
“Why should men grovel before women just to prove affection?”
Johnny Drille clapped back by sharing snapshots with Nonso Amadi and their partners, sarcastically captioning it: “The so-called low-level men.”
