Popular Nollywood star and politician Tonto Dikeh has courageously shared her spiritual journey of deliverance, overcoming deep-seated struggles with rage, substance abuse, and self-destructive habits.
The actress delivered her powerful testimony at Streams of Joy International Church during a Sunday service presided over by Senior Pastor Jerry Eze.
With raw honesty, Tonto revealed her battles began in early adolescence, stating she fell into smoking at just 13 and later grappled with alcoholism and compulsive behaviors until divine intervention transformed her life.
The screen icon confessed she nearly backed out of sharing her story due to fears about her celebrity status, but ultimately chose vulnerability over perfection.
She declared, “By age 13, I was already addicted to cigarettes. Through spiritual awakening, God freed me from compulsive m@sturbation and disturbing sexual dreams that haunted me since childhood.”
“Demonic rage controlled my existence – it poisoned my relationships and tormented everyone around me. But through NSPPD prayers, God replaced that fury with supernatural peace.”
“The enemy whispered I should protect my reputation. But I responded – what reputation? The God who gave me fame can restore it greater than before.”
Regarding her liberation from addictive behaviors, Tonto testified that attending a transformative prayer conference in Ghana marked the end of lifelong spiritual oppression.
She recounted, “The shadowy figure that terrorized my dreams for decades finally fled in defeat.”
Now embracing true serenity at 40, she emphasized, “For the first time, I’m experiencing real peace. Not the temporary kind – abiding, life-changing peace.”
Tonto traced her 27-year smoking addiction to childhood exposure in her home, issuing a sober warning to parents about modeling destructive behavior.
“My father’s habit became my downfall. Parents – your smallest vices can enslave your children. Today, my body rejects what once controlled me – complete deliverance!”
“Barely a teen when I lit my first cigarette, following my father’s example. Alcohol owned me – until divine power shattered every chain!” – @TontoDikeh’s viral testimony pic.twitter.com/8M0tALcO0S
