Popular Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh recently revealed a lesser-known chapter of her life—her near transition into pastoral ministry at just 19—during a candid livestream conversation that captivated fans after her public reconciliation with ex-husband Olakunle Churchill.
Dikeh shared that she sensed a profound spiritual calling from an early age but initially resisted it, feeling destined to walk a different path before embracing her divine purpose.
The actress emphasized that her resilience through personal adversities was fueled by unwavering faith and supernatural intervention.
The philanthropist remarked, “Since childhood, I’ve carried this sacred calling. At 19, I was on the verge of pastoring but abruptly stepped back. I’ve been deeply rooted in faith since secondary school—God’s presence has been my constant. My journey proves it’s more than coincidence.
“Had others endured my battles, many wouldn’t have survived. These trials were divine preparation, molding me into the resilient force I am today.”
She further disclosed her spiritual gifts in prayer and healing, teasing plans for a digital ministry contingent on divine direction.
Dikeh explained, “My mission is prayers and miraculous healing—whatever God ordains. True believers understand this power. Currently, I’m obediently following His lead, interceding online as instructed. I’m merely His instrument.
“Monetization isn’t the goal—some are called solely for God’s work. During a recent conversation, I highlighted that certain destinies are irrevocably tied to divine service.”
The star clarified her spiritual awakening stemmed from a desperate quest for survival, not material pursuits.
“My return to faith wasn’t about wealth—I’d already achieved that. It was about fulfilling my God-given purpose,” she emphasized.
Previously, Dikeh has openly discussed overcoming destructive habits—from rage to substance abuse—attributing her transformation to divine intervention.
