Nigerian influencer Abike Raheem, widely recognized as Papaya Ex, has accused a police officer of physically assaulting her during a late-night encounter in Lagos’ Ajah district.
The social media star broke down in tears during a TikTok live stream, recounting how the alleged attack unfolded after she left a film set.
What began as a routine stop escalated dramatically, with Papaya Ex claiming the officer struck her face with his firearm and manhandled her driver.
The content creator further alleged inappropriate touching during the altercation and said officers confiscated her phone without consent.
While no footage captured the alleged assault, Papaya Ex displayed facial injuries during her emotional broadcast, attributing them to the officer’s actions.
Her driver reportedly suffered physical abuse as well, with the officer allegedly seizing her mobile device during the scuffle.
On her Instagram page, the distraught influencer shared graphic details, writing: “Nigerian police beat me inside my own car! Used his weapon on me. Currently bleeding in Ajah – someone help!”
Social media platforms later circulated videos showing a heated argument between Papaya Ex and an unidentified man presumed to be a law enforcement official.
