Nollywood star Bimbo Akintola has bravely opened up about a harrowing nine-year ordeal of being pursued by an obsessive stalker.
Speaking candidly with Chude, she recounted how she faced incessant calls—sometimes exceeding 50 a day—along with terrifying messages detailing the stalker’s twisted fantasies.
Akintola hid the nightmare from her loved ones, especially her mother, to spare them from unnecessary worry.
The torment was unyielding—messages flooding in relentlessly, keeping her in a constant state of unease and vulnerability.
Mysteriously, the harassment ceased without warning, leaving her questioning how it could abruptly end after nearly a decade.
She shared: “For years, one man fixated on me. The terror was unbearable. I can’t pinpoint why, but one day, the messages simply stopped—after nine grueling years. His words were graphic, describing sickening acts he wanted to carry out.
“He robbed me of peace. Fifty calls a day, disturbing declarations of ‘love’ laced with threats. I shielded my parents from it—my mother would’ve panicked. But the torment was relentless, an unending loop of fear day after day.”
