Popular content creator and actor Kehinde Adams, better known as Lege Miami, has publicly apologized to Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali after referencing his late father in a controversial social media post.
Lege Miami clarified that his remarks were intended to critique Nwabali’s goalkeeping performance rather than dishonor his deceased parent.
In his statement, he wrote: “First, I sincerely apologize for bringing up your late father—that was never my intention. However, you often resist constructive feedback. On the pitch, you tend to act invincible when corrected.
“Your risky ball-handling inside the box is concerning. As a goalkeeper, you should inspire confidence, not anxiety. We’re only pointing out these flaws to help you improve.”
The dispute arose following Nigeria’s disappointing loss to DR Congo in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which eliminated the Super Eagles and triggered widespread backlash against the team’s performance.
Earlier, Nwabali had cautioned Lege Miami against invoking his late father in football critiques, emphasizing that such references crossed a personal boundary.
