A close neighbor of the late Nollywood star, Allwell Ademola, has shared a harrowing account of the actress’s final moments before her tragic passing.
The beloved actress succumbed to a brief illness, leaving her colleagues and fans devastated.
In an emotional interview with Nollywood actress Abiola Adebayo on her YouTube podcast, the anonymous neighbor revealed that Allwell struggled for over half an hour to open her door as she was too weak to dress herself.
The neighbor emphasized that if Allwell had sensed the severity of her condition, she wouldn’t have hesitated to let them break down the door to assist her.
According to the eyewitness, a group of five to six people had to carry Allwell into a car after she finally managed to unlock the door. Residents of Pipeline, where she lived, immediately sensed the urgency of the situation.
Recalling the tragic events, the neighbor said, “It took nearly 30 minutes—she couldn’t even fasten her gown. She had no idea it would end this way. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have cared if we forced the door open. She was trying to cover herself, but in that moment, dignity wouldn’t have mattered.
“We lifted her together—five or six of us—into the car. I had to take the wheel because the driver was too shaken. She used to joke, saying, ‘If anything happens, my neighbors will take care of me.’ That day, we did.
“A man was supposed to drive, but he froze. I had to step in, telling him to just open the gate. I drove faster than ever—something I never do. That urgency… it was overwhelming.
“Everyone around Pipeline knew something was terribly wrong. It still feels surreal. When I see her belongings, I ask myself, ‘Is this real?’”
