Senator Ned Nwoko has alleged that his wife, renowned Nollywood star Regina Daniels, is battling severe addiction to drugs and alcohol, which he claims is the primary factor behind their marital turmoil.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, the Delta North lawmaker raised alarms about Regina’s well-being, stating her substance abuse has resulted in violent outbursts and unpredictable behavior within their household.
The post, headlined ‘Regina’s Uncontrollable Outbursts and Destruction in My Home While I Was Away,’ revealed that Nwoko believes his wife’s condition has deteriorated, necessitating further rehabilitation.
Nwoko emphasized that Regina was previously different but has spiraled due to substance dependency. He urged her to seek treatment at a rehab facility in Abuja or abroad, specifically Jordan, where access to drugs would be restricted.
However, he alleged Regina rejected rehab and moved to a secret location where she could freely obtain narcotics.
The senator defended himself, stating that none of his other wives have ever accused him of violence. Instead, he claimed Regina has exhibited aggression—attacking staff and vandalizing property, including vehicles and windows, within two days.
He wrote, “Regina wasn’t always like this. Her drug and alcohol addiction is at the core of our issues. She must continue rehab, or her life could be at risk. Now she’s relocated where drugs are easily accessible.
“My other wives have never experienced violence from me. Regina is the aggressor—she assaulted three staff members and damaged property without cause.”
He also accused two associates, Sammy and Ann, of being Regina’s drug suppliers.
According to him, a recent altercation with a nurse—who reportedly exposed Regina’s substance abuse—sparked chaos at home. Nwoko stated, “I insisted she undergoes rehab in Asokoro or abroad, but she refused. While I took our son Moon to the hospital, Regina incited turmoil with her supplier, Sammy.”
“Ann is another enabler feeding her addiction,” he added.
Regina Daniels, 25, gained fame as a child actress and is now a prominent figure in Nollywood. She married Nwoko, a lawyer and politician, in 2019, and they share two children.
Previously, reports emerged that Regina had publicly cried out about enduring domestic violence in her marriage. A viral video on X (formerly Twitter) captured her shouting, “I can’t take this anymore—the violence is unbearable. In Ned’s house, I’m nothing, but in my home, I’m a queen.”
The video showed her distressed, surrounded by concerned onlookers, while tensions escalated around her.
