Senator Ned Nwoko has responded to domestic violence accusations made by his wife, Regina Daniels, and her family, presenting a counter-narrative that paints a starkly different picture.
Dismissing the claims as fabricated, Ned asserted that the viral video depicting Regina’s distress was staged in his absence, labeling it a “scripted Nollywood act” orchestrated by her siblings. He further alleged that Regina battles substance abuse alongside her brothers, Lawrence and Sammy, as well as Sammy’s girlfriend NK, her sister Destiny, and actress Sonia Ogala.
According to Ned, Regina has been undergoing rehabilitation for drug addiction, with medical professionals advising her separation from enablers. He accused her inner circle—including Sammy, Destiny, and Nollywood figures like Sonia Ogala and Uche Montana—of forcibly entering his home to supply her with drugs.
“They sabotaged her recovery, undermining the doctors and therapists working to help her,” he stated.
Ned also claimed Sammy harassed his staff whenever they prevented Regina from leaving the house. Despite financially supporting Sammy—funding music equipment and securing him an Abuja apartment—Ned alleged his brother-in-law remained irresponsible.
The senator implicated Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, suggesting she normalized drug use as part of a “celebrity lifestyle,” name-dropping unnamed pop stars as justification. Ned emphasized enduring marital struggles for their children’s sake, reiterating that Regina and Sammy require urgent rehabilitation.
Notably, he sidestepped questions about Sammy’s arrest and restricted legal access.
