Nigerian football sensation Victor Osimhen has opened up about his strained relationship with Napoli, revealing shocking details about his treatment during his time with the Italian club.
The Super Eagles forward made these explosive claims while discussing his rapport with Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis, particularly following a controversial TikTok post mocking his missed penalty against Bologna.
Osimhen, now with Galatasaray, alleges that Napoli attempted to force him out unceremoniously after their relationship deteriorated.
“There was a mutual understanding that I could depart the next season, but promises weren’t kept on their end,” Osimhen disclosed in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I was pushed around like I didn’t matter—told to go here, do that, with zero respect. After dedicating everything to my career, I refused to be disrespected. I’m nobody’s marionette.”
These revelations come just before Galatasaray’s crucial UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg showdown on Tuesday.
