Renowned rapper and singer Azeez Fashola, widely recognized as Naira Marley, has raised an alarm over the escalating influence of cult groups in Nigeria’s entertainment sector.
Speaking out against the disturbing trend, Marley revealed that very few artists, himself included, have managed to stay clear of cult affiliations.
He ridiculed musicians who turn to cults for dominance and safety, noting that their supposed mentors still rely on armed escorts for personal protection.
Taking to his X account, the controversial artist posted, “Hardly five of us remain cult-free in this [music] game.
“The same people who recruited you still roll with police bodyguards.”
Hardly five of us remain cult-free in this industry. The same people who recruited you still roll with police bodyguards. 😂😂😂

This isn’t the first time Marley has addressed cultism rumors—he previously denied involvement and disclosed facing intimidation for refusing initiation.
