Seasoned Nollywood star Patrick Doyle made an appearance on TVC on Tuesday, November 25th for a candid discussion about his career and personal life.
During the interview, the conversation shifted to his former spouse, actress Ireti Doyle, with the host inquiring about his perspective on her thriving acting career.
“It’s no secret you were previously married to Ireti Doyle for many years. I’d love to hear your thoughts on her professional journey in Nollywood since then and whether…” the host began.
Doyle politely cut in, explaining he prefers silence over unkind words.
“I’ll have to respectfully decline. If I can’t say something positive about someone, I choose to remain silent…My principles prevent me from speaking negatively about anyone, past or present.”
He acknowledged how the Doyle surname has benefited her career and expressed pride in her maintaining its reputation.
“I’m pleased the Doyle name has created opportunities for her, and she’s certainly honored it. She’s excelled beautifully. Her accomplishments make me proud, and I’ll leave it at that.” Doyle stated with warmth.
The former couple parted ways in 2023 after nearly two decades of marriage.
